"MudBreaker Concrete Remover 32 oz. Spray. I used to refurbish bricks from patio removal to repurpose as garden retainer wall. First application removed light layer in just a few minutes. Chunkier sections require additional application for longer period. Although product claims to not be a cleaner, I found it removed mud and other debris from surface."
"This is a phenomenal product. Aside from the fact that it is meant to be used to protect form boards and make them easier to clean off, it cleans off tools, concrete mixers and even effervesced concrete on old bricks. I used this product without gloves and my hands were fine. I would recommend using it outside though as you do have to rinse off concrete sediment that you do not want in your drains. Easy to use, a little goes a long way."
"Thinking about the joys of cleaning up after doing a concrete job? I can’t seem to recall any happy feelings spending time rinsing and scraping the residue from my tools or cleaning form edges long after the mix had created an insolvable layer on all of it. High acidic content of concrete eventually corrodes expensive tools to a point where they must be replaced. In my early years of doing masonry jobs, the older pros showed me to use petroleum based liquids to help prevent forms from adhering to curing concrete, but that is not very environmentally sound. Cleaning tools after a job remained scrubbing them clean in the mud trough, and air drying. The surfaces did suffer eventual corrosion. I had no product to help prevent the concrete dust formation on or inside power tools. I found Mud Mixer brand MudShield concentrate available for evaluation through the HD Seeds program and decided to give the product a go. The bottle of liquid concentrate delivered is 32 ounces. It must be diluted to specific agent to water ratios for desired uses. A majority of those uses are listed on the bottle label; more are available on the MudMixer web site. The 32 ounce bottle can yield 3 gallons of release agent. When properly mixed the release agent can be used with concrete, asphalt, mud, or paint materials. Following the on label guide, I used a 1:15 ratio for spray bottle application on power tools. I applied a spray coating to my tile saw, saw table and diamond blade. I sprayed the mixture on the dry surface of each item, permitting the coating to thoroughly dry, and reapplying a second coat prior to use as insurance for proper surface coverage. I operated my wet cut tile saw in the usual fashion on several material types to create a typical day’s accumulation of surface slag. Cleanup was plain water with a normal garden hose pressure. Minimal manual surface rubbing was required to remove residual slag. Allowing the tools to air dry, no new oxidation areas were observed. Use of this agent reduced total clean up time. Think of the reduced non-income producing time for clean up! According to the manufacturer, the product is ideal for reducing or preventing surface accumulation making it safe to use on forms, form liners, construction equipment, concrete buggies, skidsteer mixers, vibrating screeds, hand tools, painting equipment, power tools and tile saws. My diluted release agent is stable for up to 1 year, if stored out of heat and direct sunlight. I doubt this small amount will last that long. The agent is a slight skin irritant, listed with low volatility and biodegradable. I have upcoming concrete repair job to do, and look forward to not spending so much time with cleanup. My tools and forms will thank me. I give this product 5/5 stars, based on clear and precise directions, web site assistance and performance as stated. "Mud Breaker works like you wouldn't believe. I just thought this was another false product but I was shocked on how Mud Breaker worked. First thing you need to do is thoroughly read the instructions especially all of the safety warnings. I have no doubt that if this product can remove old concrete, I would hate to think it could do to skin and God forbid get it in your eyes. It tells you on the container to wear gloves, some type of protective clothing and a face mask, not glasses NOW, I had some slag concrete where it was spilled on the window ledge of my escape access out of a downstairs bedroom. I followed the instructions and was amazed how the concrete dissolved to where it could be removed with a little elbow grease and a strong scraper. i thought I would try it on some 2x4's that had been used as form on a new house. I sprayed the 2x4's with the mud breaker and let them set over night. The next morning I used a scraper and the wood was as good as new. I used them for a small project in the garage. I highly recommend this product to remove concrete from what ever you need to remove it from. Great product, Mud Breaker get ya some and try it out!"
