MudBreaker is a ready-to-use, biodegradable concrete remover that softens and dissolves dry, hardened concrete on tools and equipment. This allows you to easily scrape or power-wash away buildup instead of air-hammering or sandblasting. It can also be used to etch and clean concrete floors, as well as for brick washing.

*Eco-Friendly Product

WHY CONCRETE CONTRACTORS CHOOSE IT

  • Ready-to-use formula
  • Biodegradable and non-corrosive
  • Cuts labor and downtime
  • Helps extend equipment life
  • Safe for a variety of surfaces

WORKS GREAT WITH MUDMIXER (AND OTHER MIXERS)

For mixers with dried residue, apply to the buildup inside the hopper/chute and on exterior metal surfaces. Let it work, then scrape or rinse off.

It’s also great for cleaning hand tools, forms, wheelbarrows, precast gear, trowels, vehicles, floats, and more.

HOW TO USE

  1. Surface prep: Product is ready-to-use. Works best on dry, hard concrete.
  2. Apply: Spray or brush a thin, even coat. It may foam slightly.
  3. Dwell: Let sit for at least 30 minutes, or until soft. For heavy buildup, leave overnight and re-spray 10 minutes before removal.
  4. Remove: Scrape or power-wash off. Repeat if needed.
  5. Clean: Rinse with soap and water after use.

SAFETY NOTES

Always wear gloves and eye protection when using MudBreaker. Avoid breathing the mist, and be sure to review the product’s SDS before use. The product is non-hazardous for DOT/IMO shipping and non-corrosive (NACE/ASTM G-31) when used as directed.

This product does not remove paint (pressure washers can); use only as much pressure as needed and keep the nozzle at ~45° to the surface.

Always test in a small, inconspicuous area first.

Heavy-Duty Concrete Dissolver

MudBreaker is ready to use straight from the bottle. No mixing required. Simply spray or brush a thin, even coat onto dry concrete residue. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes, then easily scrape or power-wash the dissolved concrete away. For stubborn residue, reapply as needed.

Effective Alternative to Harsh Acids

MudBreaker is an acid alternative that effectively removes concrete buildup from tools or equipment, without damaging the surface. Unlike traditional concrete removers, it's non-corrosive and safe for use on sensitive surfaces like aluminum, chrome, rubber, glass, and paint.

Coverage & Yield Guide

For optimal results, 3 gallons of MudBreaker cleans the rear exterior of a ready-mix truck with a ½” average of concrete buildup. Coverage varies depending on thickness and surface area.

Long-Lasting Storage for Prolonged Use

MudBreaker comes in a 1-gallon jug (other sizes exist from the manufacturer) and has a shelf life of up to 48 months when stored in the original container, in a cool, dry place. Ensure the product doesn’t freeze or sit in direct sunlight to maintain peak performance.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is MudBreaker safe to use on all surfaces?

Yes! MudBreaker is safe for use on a wide range of surfaces, including aluminum, chrome, glass, rubber, and paint. When used as directed, it is non-corrosive and won’t damage your equipment. However, always follow the product instructions and test in a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure compatibility with delicate surfaces.

How long should MudBreaker stay on the concrete?

MudBreaker should be allowed to sit on the dry surface for at least 30 minutes to effectively soften and dissolve the concrete. For heavy buildup, it’s best to leave it overnight and reapply a light mist 10 minutes before removal. The concrete should be soft to the touch before scraping or washing off.

What can MudBreaker remove hardened concrete from?

MudBreaker is designed to remove built-up concrete splatter from a variety of surfaces, including but not limited to:

  • Concrete forms
  • Precast equipment
  • Concrete, mortar, grout, and cement mixers
  • Concrete & masonry hand tools
  • Ready-mix trucks
  • Concrete saws and cutting equipment
  • Wheelborrows
  • Screeds and troweling machines
  • Vehicles
  • Siding

In addition to concrete, MudBreaker is also a highly effective mortar dissolver and cement dissolver.

How does MudBreaker work?

To use MudBreaker, simply apply the liquid compound with a low-pressure sprayer or brush it directly onto the surface. The solution transforms dry concrete into a rinseable mud that is easy to scrape or power-wash off, making the cleanup process quick and efficient.

Can MudBreaker be used to clean concrete floors?

Yes, MudBreaker can be used to clean concrete floors and as a brick wash. It is ideal for removing stubborn concrete residue and buildup on floors, especially when used with a power-washer after the product has softened the concrete. Make sure to protect nearby finished surfaces to avoid any damage.

How do I store MudBreaker for long-term use?

MudBreaker should be stored in its original container in a cool, dry place. It has a shelf life of up to 48 months when unopened. Avoid storing it in freezing conditions or in direct sunlight, as extreme temperatures may affect its performance.
